PostHeaderIcon I’m feeling pain in the lower middle portion of my back. Please help?

The lower middle portion of my back has been hurting for awhile now, and I don’t know what to do. It doesn’t hurt consistently, just only when I move my body in some ways (it doesn’t hurt when I bend my back down or sit or anything – I think it hurts the most when I’m walking). The pain started last Friday, when I sat down on the floor against the bed with a pillow behind my back for support while doing some coursework, and it has been going on ever since. The pain was originally on the lower right side of my back, and then moved to the middle. I’ve been taking Coral Calcium for a couple of days now (didn’t take today and yesterday though, I think), and while the pain has decreased, it hasn’t gone away. =/ I’ve never had this kind of back pain before.

Does anyone know what I can do to make my back feel better? I’m thinking it’s because I sat in an uncomfortable position for my back that day, but who knows?

Oh, and I’m 18 years old. I rarely excercise much (sadly) and I’m a bit of a junkie when it comes to food (I like to eat chips and sweet stuff like chocolate a lot, but I don’t eat it often).

Thank you!
