PostHeaderIcon Good maternity pillows?

I’m 9 weeks pregnant, and I work at a desk job – which just kills my back. I am looking for a good back support pillow to maybe ease the pain. Could someone recommend a pillow? Thanks!

I dont know any specific names of pillows – but you are going to want something with a lumbar support, a pillow that has a ‘bump’ to it – so it can supposrt the natural arc of your back. They sell them at walmart. I would choose a couple and go over to the furniture dept. sit in an office chair, they always have floor models out, and see which one feels comfortable. Keep the receipt, if it doesnt do the job you thought it would take it back and try another. since every woman is different this is going to be a learning exxperience! Good Luck

Look in your company’s office supply catalog, they may have something in there like that.

Its kind of early for your back to hurt now just wait till you start showing….I use a belly band you can buy them at any baby r us store and some maternity sections at random stores have them it really helps support you and your growing tummy….and not to mention helps you keep your too tight pre-pregnancy jeans I got to wear some of my jeans up until i was 6 mo pregnant…..you can still wear it with maternity jeans too I dont like the elastic on the pants to go over my belly….as for a pillow to use at work you might want to try a boppy pillow if your going to breast feed its a good purchase as well you can wrap it behind you for more support and I recomend a good body pillow to lay with at night…my fiancee says it takes up some of his space but I toss and turn all night if i dont sleep with it…Good Luck

The Snoogle!!! You can twist it and stuff into so many positions, even for when you a breast feeding you can wrap it around so your baby has something soft to lay on while (s)he suckles. The website for it is in Sources. My step mom is 24 weeks and she bo ught it. Worked wonders for her. You can also b uy it on amazon.
