PostHeaderIcon Does anyone have tips for long car travel in the third trimester? (33 weeks)?

I need to take an unexpected trip that will be 7 hours each way. I’m 33 weeks pregnant and am hoping to get some tips from others who took long car trips at this stage. Should I bring pillows for back support? What’s the recommended break time? Thanks for your help!

Lots of pillows and stop at least once an hour for at least 10mins to stretch your legs and prevent blood clots.

Pillows for back support, lots of fluids and get out and stretch your legs at least every couple hours (which by then you will have to pee anyways!). Let your OB know you will be traveling so they can give you anyother ideas on what you shoul dbe concerned about. (They wont prevent you from going but may give you a few more hints)

I agree with the answers given. However remember not to point your toes when stretching as this can cause a leg cramp. Bring lots of water to stay hydrated!
